Donald Trump on Wednesday said that his life was under "big threat" after the US intelligence warned him of "serious and real" threat of assassination attempts from Iran .

"Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire US Military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone. I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before," Trump said in a post on X.

He further thanked the US Congress of allocating more budget to Secret Service without any opposition.

"Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to Secret Service - Zero “NO” Votes, strictly bipartisan. Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something," he said.

Earlier, Trump's campaign had informed in a statement: "President Trump was briefed earlier today by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence regarding real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States."

Following this, Trump had called upon America to "wipe off Iran of the face of Earth" if any such attempts were made.

"If they do 'assassinate President Trump,' which is always a possibility, I hope that America obliterates Iran, wipes it off the face of the Earth — If that does not happen, American Leaders will be considered 'gutless' cowards!" Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Donald Trump has faced assassination attempts twice during his 2024 presidential campaign.
