NEW DELHI: Alliance Air on Sunday said it has cancelled its Hyderabad–Tirupati flight from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad after the aircraft developed repeated technical issues.
The airline said the flight first returned to the bay for mandatory engineering checks following a glitch and was later cleared for operations. However, it encountered another snag that required longer-than-expected rectification, leading to the cancellation.
“Due to a technical glitch, the flight initially returned to the bay for mandatory engineering checks and was subsequently cleared to operate from Hyderabad to Tirupati. However, the aircraft again developed another snag for which rectification took a little longer than expected. Due to this and in order to avoid further disruption of flights, this sector had to be cancelled,” an Alliance Air spokesperson said in a statement.
The airline did not disclose the number of passengers affected but said the cancellation was necessary to prevent wider disruption to its schedule.
