JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Police Monday attached the property of a terror-accused in Udhampur district. The accused, Mohd Shafiq , is currently in judicial custody in a case registered under several sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, at Basantgarh PS last year.
The attachment of the land owned by Shafiq took place under Section 25 of UAPA , a police spokesperson said. The property — worth lakhs — is now legally restricted from being sold, leased, transferred or involved in any third-party transactions.
During the investigation, the property was identified as being linked to terror-related activities, the spokesperson added.
