NEW DELHI: India's political and economic transformation under PM Modi was highlighted Monday as Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan released two new volumes of the PM's selected speeches, saying Modi turned "crisis into confidence" and lifted India from the "Fragile Five" to the world's fourth-largest economy.
Launching the series Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, the VP called Modi "a people's leader" whose "nation-first politics" drives India's rise. "This is not merely about economic milestones but about political will, discipline and faith in over 140 crore Indians. It shows how the impossible has been made possible," he said.
The books, covering the fourth and fifth years of Modi's second term, compile over 150 speeches and Mann Ki Baat addresses across 22 themes, highlighting self-reliance, cultural revival and inclusive development - from Atmanirbhar Bharat and Startup India to Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas and the renaming of Rajpath to Kartavya Path.
"Modi shows politics is about service, not survival," he said, adding that the PM's trust in people turned Swachh Bharat into a mass movement and enabled self-reliance during the Covid-19 pandemic.
