KOCHI: Mohanlal-starrer L2: Empuraan is expected to hit the screens afresh with 24 modifications, with portions either deleted or altered, as suggested by its makers. The revisions follow a backlash over the movie's alleged portrayal of the 2002 Gujarat riots .
CBFC endorsed the revisions on Tuesday. One of Empuraan's producers, Antony Perumbavoor , had said the decision to remove some portions was taken voluntarily and not due to any political pressure.
Refuting reports that Mohanlal was not aware of themovie's storyline, Antony said all those behind the film, including the superstar, knew it. TNN
