Farrah Fawcett apparently made a big impression on Triple H during his early wrestling days, when he was still going by the name of Terra Ryzing. Or at least on his hair. That was a look anyone would hardly forget if they ever saw it. He went from Terra Ryzing to Jean-Paul Levesque , but his hairstyle remained the same. And Jimmy Fallon had quite the fun making Levesque remember those good old days when he was at The Tonight Show to promote WWE 's upcoming flagship event, WrestleMania 41.
Triple H reminiscences a wavy hair-do from his early wrestling days
Back in the early 90s, when Paul Levesque wasn't Triple H yet, he went through quite a few name changes in his career. Not that he had much say about it at the time. But he kept one thing about his looks pretty constant, much to the surprise of his fans now. And that would be his hairstyle. He had wavy shoulder-length hair at the time, very Farrah Fawcett-esque, and while his shaved head is an iconic look that everyone relates him to now, the wavy look had its own, well, charm.
Recently, Triple H appeared for a little chat with talk show host Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. There, Fallon, much to the shock of his guest, produced pictures and even a short clip of him rocking that hairdo. And to go along with that hairdo, he had a French name and a really hard-to-hear French accent as well. All we can say is, he has come a long way since then.
The journey from Terra Ryzing to Jean-Paul Levesque
While talking to Jimmy Fallon, Triple H revealed how he had quite a few name changes in his career. He started with Terra Ryzing and then became Jean-Paul Levesque, keeping his real last name in the ring. As revealed by the latest Hall of Fame inductee, the company he worked for at the time, which was from Atlanta, thought Levesque was a pretty unique name, and it sounded pretty French. And they wanted Triple H to shoot a French promo, much to the contention of the wrestler.
Jimmy Fallon even showed a very rare clipping of Triple H as Jean-Paul Levesque, talking in a French accent, as the two went on to poke a little fun at the video. As the WWE legend himself could be heard saying, for someone who didn't "speak French at all," it was quite bizarre to have him cut a promo in that accent.
