Oklahoma City Thunder game summary

The Oklahoma City Thunder struggled on both ends of the floor in their latest game, falling short despite a strong showing from Jalen Williams. The forward played 43 minutes and 29 seconds, shooting 11-of-21 from the field and hitting 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. He finished with 32 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds, while also knocking down 7-of-8 free throws. Despite his solid offensive performance, Williams ended the game with a -11 plus/minus.

Chet Holmgren had an up-and-down night, scoring 18 points in 40 minutes. He grabbed a team-high 16 rebounds, including 5 on the offensive glass, and added 3 blocks. However, his shooting efficiency was off, making just 7-of-19 shots and hitting only 1-of-6 from three-point range. Holmgren also committed 2 turnovers and 18 personal fouls, finishing with a -8 rating.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander , the team’s leading star, couldn’t find a rhythm offensively. He scored just 18 points on 7-of-22 shooting and went 1-for-6 from deep. Still, he contributed elsewhere with 13 rebounds and 7 assists, along with 2 steals. Luguentz Dort struggled significantly, making just 1-of-6 shots and missing all four of his three-point attempts, though he did chip in 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

The bench couldn’t provide much of a spark either. Alex Caruso played 22 minutes but shot just 2-of-9, while Cason Wallace and Isaiah Joe combined for only 4 points in limited minutes.
