For the San Diego Padres , amidst a tough baseball season, it has indeed been a good start; however, things turned upside down on Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics, when their outfielder, Fernando Tatis Jr ., had to suddenly exit the match after experiencing discomfort.

Earlier, Tatis had to undergo a surgery on around the same part of his shoulder. As per media reports,, Tatis felt “soreness and irritation” around his shoulder. This could possibly be a worrisome moment for the Padres amidst baseball season.
Reacting to his sudden exit, Fernando Tatis Jr said that he is not going on the injury list. He confirmed and said:
“I’m not going on the IL or nothing like that,” he added. “So, day to day so far.”

San Diego Padres’ manager Mike Shildt explained that Fernando Tatis Jr. was experiencing some discomfort. He acknowledged and said:
“He did go out, just a little discomfort on the slide at third.”
Shildt had then confirmed that medical reports suggested that Tatis’ shoulder was still in good shape, while he was not too worried about the injury.
Shildt added:
"Checking out medically, everything seems to be intact and good shape and strength good, and he's not overly concerned. So we err on the side of caution tonight, and we'll evaluate it."
Tough time for Padres ahead
San Diego Padres has been performing well this baseball season, and to have Fernando Tatis Jr. back on track is a must for the team, as him going to the injury list could cost the team a little.
For the San Diego Padres, the start of the baseball season was terrific, with almost inching closer to the Los Angeles Dodgers, however, mid season, the game has been a little too difficult for a few players, including Dylan Cease, who missed out on a solid opportunity against the Oakland Athletics, when he gave up at least nine runs in three innings.
The situation is different for Jackson Merrill and Jake Cronenworth as well, who were injured for a week, while Cronenworth will have to miss at least one game.
