Road accidents have increasingly become an affair wherein statistics reveal a disquieting spurt. Reckless driving, inadequate infrastructural facilities, and a humongous number of automobiles plod the roads, leading to this alarming tendency.

A girl who was riding a scooter narrowly escaped a grievous accident when she fell on the pillar of an elevated flyover near Noida Sector-25 after being hit by a car on Saturday, September 21, police said.

The videos available on social media showed two men trying to rescue her from the pillar. A large crowd had gathered at the spot.

The police acted swiftly, responding to the incident, reaching the spot in time, and rescuing the girl. Besides the girl, the two men who had tried to save her were also rescued through a trolley machine.

All three were shifted to the hospital for treatment, as the police said while adding that they had confiscated the vehicle which had hit the girl's scooter.
