David Chappelle, the American comedian, mocked the President of the United States, Donald Trump in his old stand-up, and the video is getting all the laughing emojis as it has resurfaced online. In the video, Chappelle did not hesitate to humorously call out Trump for poking at the Chinese jobs, where some suggest the reason ‘tariff season’ is perfectly summed up!
What did David Chappelle say?
In the viral clip, the comedian claims, “Trump doesn’t think these things through before he tells us. He tells us what he’s thinking as soon as it occurs to him. This s–t sounds nuts.”
In Trump’s accent, Chappelle jeeringly states, “I’m gonna go to China, and I’m gonna get those jobs from China and bring them back here to America.”
In response, David expressed, “For what? So iPhones can be $9,000?” “Leave that job in China, where it belongs. None of us want to work that hard. I wanna wear Nikes, I don’t want to make them s–t. What the f–k are you doing?” he added
“Stop trying to give us the Chinese jobs,” the 51-year-old actor pleaded. In POTUS’s voice, he again stated, “I am going to bring back coal.”
“COAL?!” David exclaimed. “I am not even exaggerating; I have never in my life ever seen a f–king lump of coal. I honestly don’t even know what coal is for. Find me some truffles, that’s what I’m about. At least truffle prices are getting out of control; if it gets any worse, I’m gonna be back down to regular butter like everybody else,” he added.
Furthermore, David Chappelle mocked Trump's threatening North Korea. He exclaimed, “Fire and Fury!” Naming equally crazy to both the Presidents, the actor expressed that threats might lead to severe repercussions.
Talking to the audience, David asserted that if anyone naively thinks that the USA can fight North Korea - they haven’t played the online video game, ‘Call of Duty’ at 3 a.m. like him when he plays against the Koreans.
The Tariff TaleIn regards to tariffs, Donald Trump’s government has imposed a 10% tariff on all the countries, claiming the move as ‘Liberation Day.’ Additionally, countries like China, Mexico, Canada and the European Union are set to have a tighter hold on tariffs, where it is set to increase to 54% for China from April 9, 2025.
