Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of the late legendary actress Sridevi, shared an endearing story featuring her mom ahead of Mother’s Day 2025. Kapoor reshared a story made by a fan account, where a collage of Sridevi’s pictures was posted, under the background score of ‘Andalalo.’

In the story, Sridevi’s adorable pictures were from the 1990 film ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari,’ where she starred alongside Chiranjeevi. The edit had a note stating, “I'm too much obsessed with her,” giving a tribute to Sridevi’s impeccable skills and ethereal poise. Jahnvi reshared the story with a red heart on the edit.

Throwback when Jahnvi recalled getting scolded by Sridevi In 2024, a clip went viral on social media from a certain interview, where Janhvi Kapoor revealed how she used to steal Sridevi’s lipsticks - and once, she got caught.

“Mumma used to say it to me every time I…like go into her room and steal her lipsticks. And like my pockets would be full,” Janhvi said. “She would be like - show your pockets. I would be like - no mumma. She’d say - naa kodaka (my child),” she added.

The re-release of 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari'In other news, Sridevi's ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari,’ has been re-released in the theatres from May 9, 2025, marking the 35th anniversary. With ₹2 crores as a budget, the film broke records in 1990 and grossed ₹15 crores, which was the highest in the era.

During the recent celebratory event organised by the filmmakers, Chiranjeevi said, “I miss Sridevi very much on this occasion. She was the heart of JVAS ('Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari'). Her character felt like a dream. It was the first time we worked together, and our chemistry was truly special,” while reminiscing about memories of Sridevi.
