Raipur: The National Lok Adalat held on Saturday across the state, from the High Court to the Taluka level and revenue courts, resulted in the resolution of 38,98,415 cases, with awards totalling Rs 593 crore.
Chhattisgarh HC Chief Justice and Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority (CGSLSA) Patron-in-Chief Ramesh Sinha connected virtually with all 23 districts from HC. This was to assess the progress and monitor the advancement of the second National Lok Adalat of the year.
The Chief Justice conducted a virtual inspection of the National Lok Adalat proceedings and interacted with principal district judges. He encouraged them to ensure the successful resolution of disputes. The chief justice stated that the National Lok Adalat offers a platform for litigants to resolve their disputes amicably and quickly. He urged all judicial officers to aim for the resolution of the maximum possible number of cases.
Chief Justice Sinha visited two benches constituted for the National Lok Adalat at the Chhattisgarh High Court. He interacted with the benches of Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi and Justice Ravindra Kumar Agarwal during the proceedings. Detailed preparations for this National Lok Adalat were carried out across the state. This included pre-sitting arrangements and counselling sessions, where parties were encouraged to settle disputes amicably.
