Public square grievance redressal adalat resolves title deed issues in Kalamassery

Kochi: Public Square grievance redressal adalat, organized under the leadership of industries minister P Rajeeve in Kalamassery municipality on Tuesday, extended a helping hand to families whose title deeds were delayed due to technical issues. A path was paved for eight families, including AH Hamza from Vattekkunnu School Grounds colony, to receive their title deeds.

At the title deed fair held at Thrikkakara Town Hall, 38 of 46 families in the colony already received their title deeds. However, Hamza and a few others were yet to receive theirs. Highlighting these issues, he filed a complaint at the adalat. Subsequently, Rajeeve instructed officials to resolve technical issues and take immediate action. The minister assured that steps would be taken to grant title deeds at the next fair.

A total of 156 complaints from Kalamassery municipal area were resolved at the adalat. There were 201 complaints received for problem-solving, including those related to various departments. Most complaints were about title deed issues, land conversion, applicants for priority ration cards and various development-related grievances in the constituency. Of these, 46 were forwarded to the respective departments for further action and reporting.

District collector NSK Umesh, people's representatives and heads of various departments were part of the adalat. Adalats in other local bodies in Kalamassery constituency will also be completed this month.

Dates for other adalats are as follows: Kunnukara (Kunnukara Ahana Auditorium) - May 17, Alangad (Kongorpilly Govt High School) - May 19, Kadungalloor (Kadungalloor Community Hall) - May 22, Karumalloor (NSS Auditorium, Thattampady) - May 24, Eloor (Pathalam Municipal Town Hall) - May 24.
