Gandhinagar: Guinness World Book of Record holder Rohtash Chaudhary broke Pakistan's previous world record for one-legged standing push-ups, accomplishing an impressive 704 push-ups within an hour while carrying a weight of 27.875 kilograms. "I used to practice daily for four hours," Chaudhary shared after his achievement. "I have attempted this, but the record belongs to every Indian."Chaudhary’s feat stands as a proud moment for India. Pakistan’s previous record stood at 534 push-ups with a weight of 27.200 kilograms, which Chaudhary surpassed in under a month, marking a new milestone.

"I feel a thousand times happier," Chaudhary said. "I broke Pakistan's record within 22 days." The record-breaking achievement occurred at Gandhinagar’s Town Hall in Gujarat, with Governor Acharya Devvrat present to witness the historic moment. Cementing his reputation as India’s "Push-Up Man," Chaudhary has previously broken records on multiple occasions, including a feat in January when he surpassed Spain’s push-up record of 537 reps with 37 kilograms of weight, completing 743 push-ups in a single attempt.Chaudhary attributes his success to rigorous training, dedicating four hours daily to push-up practice. "I have been putting in relentless effort to break this record. This is not just my achievement, but every Indian's. The record once belonged to Pakistan; today, it is India's. Pakistan’s record was 534 push-ups, and I did 704."Chaudhary also dedicated this record to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reflected on his journey, sharing how a severe back injury once left him bedridden for two years, pushing him to defy the odds and build his strength.
