Making her directorial debut, Jasmeet K. Reen helmed Darlings, with a screenplay by Parveez Sheikh. The film was produced by Alia Bhatt, Gauri Khan, and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions, marking Alia’s first venture as a producer. It featured Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah, Roshan Mathew, and a strong ensemble cast.

Looking ahead, Vijay is set to star in Matka King, directed by Sairat and Fandry filmmaker Nagraj Manjule. Set in the gritty 1960s Mumbai backdrop, the film tells the story of a cotton trader who creates a revolutionary gambling game—Matka—reshaping the city’s entertainment scene. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Manjule, the film features Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Gulshan Grover, and Siddharth Jadhav.

Vijay will also appear in Vibhu Puri’s Gustaakh Ishq, sharing the screen with Naseeruddin Shah, Sharib Hashmi, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, further cementing his position as one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors.
