Dead Island 2 is available completely free of charge with no strings attached on the Store.
Despite spending years in development hell, Dead Island 2 was a pleasant surprise when it launched back of 2023. The first-person action game takes place in a zombie-ravaged Los Angeles, where players will need to explore the surroundings, scavenge for items and save survivors.
If you want to download the game for free, then you'll need to visit the Epic Games Store, login or create an account and click the 'GET' button.
Once you've redeemed the game and added it to your library, then it's yours to access, no strings attached.
"A deadly virus is spreading across Los Angeles, turning inhabitants into zombies," reads the official description.
"Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, uncover the truth behind the outbreak and discover who -or what- you are."
A big part of the game is finding weapons that can often be combined to create deadlier items of destruction.
The game also contains a co-op mode, as well as a horde mode where you'll encounter countless zombies and new variants.
In addition to Dead Island 2, Epic Games Store customers can pick up horror title Happy Game for free.
"A little boy falls asleep to a horrible nightmare. Can you make him happy again?" reads the official description.
The game is described as a "psychedelic horror adventure from the creators of Botanicula and CHUCHEL". It features three nightmare scenarios for players to complete.
The game is also said to feature "disturbing puzzles" and creepy songs by Czech freakfolk band DVA.
Fans can download the games from now until 4pm BST on May 22. Three new games will be available for free next week.
