star has opened up about the one regret she has after

She appeared on the latest episode of Paul C. Brunson's podcast We Need To Talk with her husband, Marius Iepure. The pair talked about their lives together as well as the birth of their daughter who arrived last Christmas.

Looking back at her career to date, the accomplsihed ballroom dancer, Oti revealed her one regret. She said: "I would have split my focus between things that really matter and things that are just a job. I would have had my daughter earlier, because now I'm like, I'm not old, I'm just 34, but I'm like I wish I had more time, I wish I had done this earlier."

But her husband didn't see it the same way, saying that he believes that it was 'the perfect time' for their daughter to be born. Despite this he did concede that it would have been even better to have had her earlier.

Oti added: "Because I work in television, and it is so easy for that whole career to be swept under your feet, everything can go. But, the best thing right now I think for a lot of people to do, is invest in yourself. Instead of buying that bag, buy a book and read Diary of a CEO, instead of going out and partying, take that little bit of money and invest it towards the mortgage and take the time to listen."

It was on Christmas Day last year that the couple announced the birth of their daughter, six weeks after she had been born prematurely.

Besides dealing with the natural complications of a premature birth, Oti was diagnosed with Sepsis shortly before giving birth, which lead to the Strictly star's new born having to spend over a month in hospital after contracting an infection.

Oti left the Strictly Come Dancing cabal of professional dancers in 2022. It had come after she become just the second professional to win the show in two consecutive series, picking up the top prize in 2019 and 2020 whilst partnering Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey. After leaving the show, she has gone on to be a judge on ITV reality show
