Sarah Ferguson makes surprise appearance at King Charles at cancer event

Sarah Ferguson has sent a touching message to King Charles . The 65-year-old joined her former brother-in-law for the special event, just one year after being diagnosed with malignant melanoma in early 2024.

Sarah, who has , said that she had been "kindly invited" to the reception by King Charles.

Speaking about the King, she said: "I think the King is an absolutely brilliant example on revolutionising [the discussion around cancer]. Also, he does that in everything he does. He always puts his whole heart into everything he does."

In a recent piece for , Sarah revealed that adding that it was like a "bomb going off in my life".

She told the outlet, in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust's campaign, #AndYoungPeople: "I was 63 when I was diagnosed with cancer for the first time and cancer at any age is traumatic.

"But as adults we have maturity and life experience to help us advocate for ourselves and cope with challenges. We can seek help if we need it and most importantly our voices are, sadly, often taken more seriously."
