
Netflix bingers have found their latest obsession in Karma, a Korean crime thriller that has been labelled as both "disturbing and captivating."
Launching just this past Friday, the show delves into the tangled lives of six characters trapped in an inexorable web of vengeance, driven by pivotal choices.
Central to the plot is a man drowning in debt who discovers a life insurance policy on his father's worth a staggering 500 million won, setting off a dangerous chain of events, a woman who must face her deepest phobias, and a reckless driver whose attempt to hide a sin sees him ensnared by a blackmailer.
Social media buzz on X, the community formerly known as Twitter, has gone into overdrive with praises sung about the six-episode series, with fans calling it "mind-blowing."

The plot for Karma is as follows: "In Karma, disparate lives intertwine under the ominous shadow of an unbreakable fate.
"The story revolves around a witness to an accident, a physician traumatized by nightmares, a man whose world was upended by an unexpected event, and another man drowning in private loans.
"Each one is bound by the inescapable ties of a terrible destiny, weaving a gripping crime thriller following those trapped by ill-fated entanglements."
Karma is based on the acclaimed Kakao webtoon of the same name and was penned and directed by Lee Il-hyung, the creative force behind the box office smash A Violent Prosecutor.
The impressive cast features Park Hae-soo as the Witness, Shin Min-a as Ju-yeon, Lee Hee-jun as the Debtor, Kim Sung-kyun as Gil-ryong, and Lee Kwang-soo (of Running Man fame) as Glasses. Gong Seung-yeon portrays the role of Yu-jeong.
