Scottish presenter Lorraine Kelly has shared a sweet family update, away from the ongoing drama at ITV. The 65-year-old host, who welcomes famous faces onto her self-named talk show, is a doting mum and grandmother off-screen.
This weekend she congratulated her daughter's other half, Steve White, on cracking out an impressive achievement. Sharing a snap of him holding up a medal, dressed in sporting gear including some sunglasses and a cap, Lorraine shared how proud she was feeling. She emotionally penned: "Very proud of @stevewhite94 for running his first ultramarathon in searing 33 degree heat! Well done! #congrats #ultramarathon #heat #grit."
Lorraine Kelly's daughter, Rosie, gave birth to a baby girl named Billie in September last year. Rosie and her fiancé, Steve, announced the birth on social media.
Announcing the birth on Instagram, the new mum posted a sweet photograph of the newborn clutching her mum's finger. In her gushing caption, she wrote: "It feels like she's been here the whole time and we're not quite sure what the point of anything was before. I'd heard how amazing midwives are but they are genuinely walking angels - she's been welcomed into the world with so much love already."
Sharing Rosie's post to her own Instagram, Lorraine, whose married name is Lorraine Smith, proudly wrote: "I have been BURSTING to share this wonderful news with you!
"Baby Billie is an angel and I'm so proud of [Rosie] and [Steve] who will be the best parents. I'm delighted to be Granny Smith and can't wait to go on adventures. #love#joy#happiness#family"
The lovely family update comes as Lorraine is facing a fair bit of drama at work. It was announced recently that her show has been impacted by cuts at ITV. The talk show will see a reduction in the length and frequency. From January, it will be shortened from one hour to just 30 minutes and broadcast for only 30 weeks of the year, with the remaining time being taken over by rival show Good Morning Britain.

There were also calls for the TV host to be sacked last week, after her reaction to the death of Queen of Clean, Kim Woodburn.
Speaking to viewers live from the studio, Lorraine said: "Welcome back. Some news just breaking in the last few minutes - Kim Woodburn, who I'm sure you know, well she's died at the age of 83. Famous of course for How Clean is Your House? and her controversial time on Celebrity Big Brother.
"A representative for Kim said: 'It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness,'" Lorraine read out, before dropping the subject completely and saying cheerily: "Right, it is ten past nine!"
Fans at home said that the segment was "disrespectful" as the presenter did not even pretend to be sad over the tragic news.
