Jet2 has announced a major change for customers travelling to six popular . The provider is rolling out an exclusive new service that will allow customers to track their coach transfer back to their departure airport in real-time.
The live feature will allow customers to view their pick-up locations, expected pick-up time - including revised information in the event of delays - pick-up progress and the latest pick-up stop the coach has reached. It will also provide the coach driver's name and the vehicle licence plate number. says customers will be able to view all of this information via its app from 30 minutes before their departure pick-up time.
A 'Live Transfer Status' beacon will appear on the app and this will allow customers to view the information in real-time once it's been selected.
A new function in the Jet2holidays app also gives customers coach transfer information, including coach number and parking location, when they arrive into a destination.
This "exclusive functionality" is available to Jet2holidays customers who are taking a coach transfer back to their departure airport when returning home from all destinations in the following six areas:
- Balearics
- Canaries
- Mainland Spain
- Morocco
- Turkey
- Bulgaria
Jet2holidays says it plans to expand the functionality across more destinations, including Greece, by summer next year.
