One "twist" on a classic recipe can make it look and taste better, a person claims. A user on Reddit posted a question to the last year, asking its 5.3million members: "What are some of your own personal twists on traditional recipes?"
Responses flooded in, with one foodie revealing their tweak on a staple dish. "Tumeric in the chicken noodle soup," the user wrote, adding: "It adds a nice yellow color and adds a tiny bit of depth.
"If you want to be crazy add ginger too."

But they're not alone in enjoying the addition of turmeric's pleasantly peppery and bitter taste.

But be warned, only small amounts are needed.
Martha's ingredients includes just a ¼ teaspoon turmeric and one teaspoon grated ginger for a recipe that yields six cups and four servings.
