Jharkhand: Mobile internet services in Jharkhand will be temporarily suspended for over five hours on September 21 and 22 to ensure a fair environment for the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JGGLCCE). The suspension will take place from 8 AM to 1:30 PM each day.

Officials stated that this measure aims to prevent any cheating during the exams. Past incidents have shown that some individuals have misused mobile applications like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Telegram, and YouTube to engage in unfair practices during similar tests.

The Jharkhand government emphasizes the need for integrity in the recruitment process, stating that addressing potential loopholes is crucial for maintaining public trust. The decision to suspend mobile internet is a proactive step to avoid any issues that could compromise the safety and fairness of the examination.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission is set to conduct the exams across 823 centers, with approximately 640,000 candidates expected to participate.

According to the official announcement, these measures aim to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.

The statement noted that past occurrences have shown that some individuals have engaged in unfair practices using mobile applications like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Telegram, and YouTube, which depend on internet connectivity.

The Jharkhand government is committed to closing any loopholes in the examination process that could raise concerns about the integrity of the recruitment. Such issues could potentially lead to public unrest and affect safety.

After careful consideration, the Jharkhand government has determined that temporarily disabling mobile internet, data, and Wi-Fi during the exam hours is essential to maintain a fair examination environment.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission plans to hold the exams across 823 centers, with around 640,000 candidates expected to take part.
