It was then reported thatNicole was the one who filed for divorce from Keith, with who she shares two children. In an interview with Marie Claire in 2020, Nicole said her relationship with Keith made her feel 'much more comfortable' after her previous relationship ended.
Nicole and Tom, 63, were married between 1990 and 2001, with the two adopting Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30, together. A few years later, she met Keith at the G'Day LA event.
"[Keith] just came along and protected me. He's loved me, given me confidence, and made me so much more comfortable," she explained.

"He knows who I am and he's opened me up." Not long after, Nicole spoke to Bazaar about how 'open' her heart was for Keith.
"I'm wary at times, and I've been hurt, but at the same time I much prefer a warm approach rather than a prickly shutdown approach," she said. "My husband, Keith, says that when he met me, he said, 'How's your heart?' And I apparently responded, 'Open'."
It comes after reports suggested Keith and Nicole had been living apart "since the beginning of summer". A source had told TMZ that singer Keith had "acquired his own residence in Nashville and moved out of their family home".
Nicole reportedly made several attempts to save their marriage, but Keith was already "done".
Their separation comes just months after the country singer revealed he had been forced to be away from his family due to his latest tour. Speaking to fans, he said: "Looking out from a stage and seeing people singing, forgetting about all the stress in their lives, cutting loose, and feeling ALIVE- that’s what it’s about for me.
"Lots of hits, new songs, things we won’t even think about until we’re onstage and loads of guitar. We’re gonna make this tour the best night of your life!”
