Missing mum Rachel Booth: Chilling clues emerge at petrol station in hunt for 4am jogger

Two chilling clues into the disappearance of a missing mum have been revealed by a petrol station worker.

Rachel Booth, 38, was last seen in the Barnton area of Cheshire on Saturday, July 19, and a huge search has been launched to find the mum as police expressed "increasing concern for her welfare". Rachel was last seen on CCTV at Sandiway Garage, on the A556, at 3.50am. Cheshire Police said it believed the mum could have been travelling to a nearby village and said it conducted an underwater search in the area. A worker at the Shell petrol station revealed two clues into Rachel's mystery disappearance.

Station worker Issac Carolan, 19, told The Sun what the mum had bought in the early hours of Saturday morning. He said: "I spoke to my colleague who had served her on Saturday morning. She bought milk and wine and jogged from 45 minutes away."

Issac added: "But it didn't seem weird, she didn't seem disturbed or flustered." Police, on Saturday night, confirmed it was "conducting enquiries" in the local village of Oakmere, near Delamere Forest, and the "surrounding area".

Cops also deployed sniffer dogs as part of their investigation around the well-known Cheshire beauty spot. Rachel was described as 5ft 9in tall, of a slim build, with blonde hair, and is believed to be wearing black leggings and a black top.

Staff and shoppers at a Premier store in Barnton, close to where Rachel lives, were reportedly shocked and upset by her disappearance. Shop worker Raj Kaur, 30, said: "She is a lovely clever lady - always coming in here for her parcels. She is very active and very nice - we all liked her."

Cheshire Police Superintendent Paul Hughes said his force was becoming "increasingly concerned for her welfare".

He added: "As part of our investigation, our officers and partner agencies, including the Underwater Search Team and Cheshire Search and Rescue, are conducting enquiries in the Oakmere and surrounding areas where it is believed Rachel travelled to, and we would like to thank local businesses for their patience and understanding while these are currently ongoing.

"Investigators are following all lines of enquiry and anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us. The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts. We would also like to appeal directly to Rachel to get in touch to let us know you are OK."

A popular local watersports centre in Oakmere, Wild Shore Delamere, said it had closed to try and help cops with the search. On social media, the business announced that "police have requested that we close the site to aid their investigation".

Wild Shore Delamere said: "Due to ongoing police investigations in the surrounding area, Wildshore Delamere will remain closed tomorrow, Sunday, July 20th. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

"The incident is unrelated to Wild Shore - however, we wish to help as much as possible - so we will be closing the site until further notice. If your booking is affected by this closure, please contact our customer services team.

"We’ll be happy to arrange a refund or reschedule your session for a later date. Thank you for your understanding."
