For years,Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and stylist Jessica Mulroney were utterly inseparable - but now it seems they are on the outs.
The pair first bonded when Meghan was living in Toronto, Canada and filming the hit legal drama Suits, which catapulted her to fame as paralegal Rachel Zane.
Jess - a fashion stylist who worked with high-profile clients like the First Lady of Canada - and Meghan quickly hit it off, becoming fast friends, and for many years, the fashion expert was right by Meghan's side for many of the most important moments of her life - and everything in between.
From girls' holidays in Europe to hanging out at glitzy events and posting gushing tributes to one another on social media, a few years back it would have seemed unthinkable that Meghan and Jess no longer publicly interact.
At Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry, Jess was centre stage - with her three children Ivy, Brian, and John all given positions in the wedding party as flower girl and page boys.

The Duchess even FaceTimed with Jess the night Harry proposed to her in Kensington Palace, and the stylist is reported to have attended the luxe baby shower Meghan's pals threw for her in New York when she was pregnant with her first child, Prince Archie.
When the little boy safely arrived, Jess jumped on a plane to the UK to come and see her best friend, bringing her daughter Ivy along with her.
Jess is even said to have come along on one of Meghan and Harry's official royal tours to New Zealand, Australia, and Tsonga.
When Harry and Meghan decided to step back from royal duties and forge their own path, the bombshell announcement they released in January 2020 sent shockwaves across the UK - but Jess is said to have been in the know about what was going on, even playing an "influential role" in the couple's big move, according to the Daily Mail.
However, as 2020 continued on with social distancing restrictions in place in attempt to curb the COVID-19 pandemic, an incident that saw Jessica accused of "problematic" behaviour, is reported to have caused relations between Meghan and Jess to cool significantly.
Amid the Black Lives Matter protests, lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter alleged in an 11-minute video that after she had posted a Black Lives Matter call to action post, the two women had got into a row over DM and claimed Jess had threatened the blogger's connections with brands and sponsors.
"If you go to the press over this nonsense and threaten to go to your followers, I won’t be afraid to go to brands and tell them what you are doing to me," Jess said in a message, which Sasha called "textbook white privilege" but said she didn't believe Jess was a "racist".
Per the Daily Mail, Jessica invoked Meghan's mixed race background in a comment on the video, saying to Sasha she was "unequivocally sorry", and that "As I told you privately, I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and centre. It was deeply educational."

This moment would become a major turning point in Jess's life. She swiftly lost brand deals, the wedding reality show she hosted was cancelled, and she was dropped by TV shows like Good Morning America, on which she had regularly appeared.
Jess issued a multitude of public apologies - but her career trajectory was changed pretty much overnight.
And so was her once seemingly bulletproof friendship with Meghan.
Page Six reported at the time that the scandal gave Meghan the "excuse" she had wanted for some time to cut her best pal off.
A source was quoted as saying that Meghan had already felt like Jess was trying to boost her professional opportunities based off her close bond with the Duchess, and "'make a career out of the friendship".
The insider added, "The white privilege row has really given Meghan the excuse she was waiting for to cut Jess off for good...I don't know what the tipping point was, but Jess has been on the outs for some time."
Another source was quoted by US Weekly as saying, "Meghan could not get over that Jessica brought up her relationship with Meghan when she commented about her 'closest friend' in the discourse with Sasha."
Despite being a high-profile stylist and TV personality, Jess' professional opportunities have been reduced to selling subscriber-only content to her Instagram followers.
Since Meghan made her big return to social media over the New Year, neither of the women follow each other, despite the fact that they once used the platform to regularly gush about one another.
The once close pals haven't been seen together in five years now, but a few times in the early days of their rumoured fall out, Jess attempted to put the rumours to bed.
"I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family. She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me everyday,” Jessica wrote on her stories a few months after the initial controversy.
Six months later, she posted a picture of the flowers she had received from Meghan on her 41st birthday, with a sweet card that read: “LUCKIEST FRIEND XXXX, THX MM.”
But over the next few years Jess made some cryptic posts about friendships falling apart, which many people speculated were aimed at her famous former bestie.
"Life changes. You lose love. You lose friends. You lose pieces of yourself that you never imagined would be gone. And then, without even realizing it, those pieces come back. New love enters. Better friends come along. And a stronger, wiser you, is staring back in the mirror,” one of the mysterious posts read.
Whilst it was never confirmed if this was aimed at Meghan, Jess had been through a tumultuous period that saw many of the companies she worked with turn their back on her.
Now the stylist and influencer seems to be taking back some ground professionally, once again attending events of a charity she co-founded many years ago - after stepping back in 2020 - and even hinting online that her reality show might be making a return.
However, Jess has admitted that her main priority will always be her three children, who have been her main focus since the controversy, writing in a recent post on her Instagram: "Doing this thing today for work with a brand I truly love. As I get older, I’ve gotten over the travel of it all. Nothing compares to spending time with my kids at home. Absolutely nothing."
Despite playing an important role in Meghan's life for many years, there was no mention of Jess in the six-part documentary series that Harry and Meghan made for Netflix about their love story, nor did Harry mention his wife's best friend in his bestselling memoir Spare.
