The secret to the perfect has been revealed, and it’s a harmonious mix of adventure, relaxation, and exploration. According to a recent survey, an impressive eight out of ten people agree that the strikes a balance between excitement and unwinding - but there’s more to it than that.
In a study of 2,000 adults, the consensus is that the perfect holiday temperature is a pleasant 23 degrees Celsius, with clear blue skies providing the ideal backdrop. Additionally, 14% of the perfect holiday is devoted to quality time with family, while 10% is all about indulging in delicious food and drinks. The rest of the time is then reserved for creating cherished memories and taking on new experiences.
For 38%, the would involve hopping between multiple locations, with three to four different spots hitting the sweet spot. A third fancied a cruise as the best way to get around, and they'd be up for a seven-hour journey to reach their dream destinations.

When it comes to the type of places most adults would love to visit on a dream trip, tranquil beaches and tropical islands topped the list. But it's not all about catching rays as adults also fancy visiting locations boasting key as part of their dream holiday.
The research was carried out by Disney Cruise Line in partnership with Matt and Emma Willis, who boarded the Disney Fantasy just before the ship arrived in the UK for its inaugural European summer season.
The couple, who have three children, took part in a set by celebrity friends including Colleen Rooney and Rob Beckett. The video shows them being welcomed by ship staff before embarking on a series of tasks such as taking as many selfies as possible and creating Disney towel animals.
The duo seemed to be having a great time as they competed against each other in the range of quirky and fun challenges before enjoying some time in the adults-only areas.
However, according to the survey four in ten Brits have yet to experience their 'perfect' trip. It was found that 55% consider going on the with partners and children being the preferred travel companions.
According to a survey, 45% of parents said they plan their holidays in mind, with two thirds stating that if parenting is made easier while they are away, due to the facilities and general ease of family activities, then it automatically becomes a dream trip.
A spokesperson from the entertainment and travel corporation said: "We all dream of that perfect holiday – a chance to switch off, reconnect, and soak up new experiences.
“Whether it’s adventure, culture, relaxation or simply spending quality time with loved ones, it’s clear everyone’s idea of the ‘perfect break’ is a little different. But when the magic comes together, it’s unforgettable."
