Inside You season 5 cast and every fan-favourite making a comeback

You season five brings the Joe Goldberg saga full circle, with numerous familiar faces making a comeback for the concluding chapter.

Picking up three years after the events of season four, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is now living in New York with his wife Kate Lockwood (Charlotte Ritchie) and their son Henry.

However, it isn't long before Joe's gaze falls upon Bronte (Madeline Brewer), a budding writer and employee at Mooney's bookstore, who has a dark past.

As Bronte struggles to shake off her abusive ex-boyfriend Clayton (Tom Francis), she suddenly vanishes, leaving Joe frantic with worry.

He manages to track her down to a beach house, where he suspects Clayton has taken her, and the two are reunited, ultimately leading to a romantic encounter between the "star-crossed lovers".

But when Joe hears a commotion downstairs, he discovers Clayton threatening Bronte, and the two men engage in a fierce fight, ending with Joe overpowering Clayton and delivering a fatal blow to the head, smashing it into the fireplace.

In a stunning twist, Dominique (Natasha Benham) appears, having live-streamed the entire sequence of events on social media, as Bronte stands by, holding a taser.

The subsequent episode reveals that Bronte had been catfishing Joe as a means of seeking revenge for her friend Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) and justice for Dr Nicky (John Stamos), Clayton's father.

This catfishing saga triggers the reappearance of several familiar faces in episodes six and seven, titled The Dark Face Of Love and #JoeGoldberg.

Central to Bronte's catfishing scheme is her bond with Beck, who was her TA during her writing studies when she relocated to New York and inspired her to persist with her writing, even amidst her mother's illness.

As Bronte narrates the events, a flashback shows her meeting with Beck, who walks into the room while still on a call with Joe.

It's only after Bronte reads Beck's posthumously published book The Dark Face Of Love, that she begins to suspect something amiss.

Beck cites author Ibsen, whom Bronte knows Beck isn't fond of, leading her to suspect that someone else had a hand in penning the novel.

Nadia

In the fourth instalment, Joe had framed Nadia (Amy-Leigh Hickman) for her boyfriend's murder, resulting in her imprisonment, too terrified to speak out for fear he might target her family.

Fortunately, her story doesn't end there as Kate assists in securing her release so they can join forces to bring Joe down once and for all.

Phoebe

In addition to that, another season four character making a reappearance is Lady Phoebe, played by Tilly Cooper, who makes the trip to New York to lend a helping hand to her friend Kate in a moment of crisis, after uncovering the true nature of Joe's character.

Marienne

Marienne, portrayed by Tati Gabrielle, was previously the object of Joe's obsessive desire in season three while he was still married to Love. However, she fled the country with her daughter after discovering his true colours.

Nevertheless, during his state of dissociation in season four, Joe managed to locate Marienne and subjected her to weeks of confinement in a cage.

It was only when Nadia intervened that Marienne, with her assistance, could fake her own death and permanently escape Joe's torment.

Yet, this didn't deter Marienne from returning in season five to join forces with Nadia and Kate in their quest for vengeance against Joe.

Dottie

Meanwhile, Dottie Quinn (Saffron Burrows) Love and Forty's mother from seasons two and three, re-emerges in episode seven, using social media to tarnish Joe's reputation.

In a video, she declares, "He [Joe] killed both my babies. Love and Forty are both dead because of him. I haven't seen my grandson Henry in years.

"He made everyone think I was the crazy one but no, he's the crazy one."

Sherry and Cary

Husband-and-wife pair Sherry (Shalita Grant) and Cary (Travis Van Winkle) who were also Love and Joe's infuriating social media influencer neighbours in season three, get locked up.

In a twist, their post actually comes to Joe's defence as they clarify that it was Love who caged them, not Joe.

He muses internally: "I'll take the support where I can get it."

Annika Atwater

Peach Salinger's pal from the first season, Annika Atwater (played by Kathryn Gallagher), was quick to chime in: "He absolutely killed my best friend Peach. He hated her."

Joe's internal response scoffs: "Peach was self-defense and I don't even remember your name."

Paco

We also see a return of Paco (Luca Padovan), the young lad who idolised Joe while trying to escape his mum's violent partner Ron Baker.

True to form, Joe 'assisted' Paco by offing probation officer Ron Baker, who remains listed as missing.

Paco attempts to defend Joe in his post, with the stalker-turned-killer internally dubbing him an "angel".

But then Paco drops a bombshell: "Joe was my neighbor when I was a kid. My mom dated this guy who was really abusive and Joe literally saved us."

Joe's thoughts explode with frustration: "No, no, don't share the incriminating part. Shut the f*** up Paco."

Ethan

Ethan Russell (Zach Cherry), who worked for Joe in the debut series of You, initially describes him as a "good dude".

Yet, he adds a caveat: "But I make it a practice to believe the victims. I can't prove that the basement of Mooney's was haunted, even though it 100% was which is why I never went down there.

"Like I can't definitively rule out that Joe murdered a f*** ton of people."

Will

Will's involvement was unveiled in episode five, where Joe refers to having a "friend in Manila" - and it's none other than Will Bettelheim (Robin Lord Taylor) from the second season.

First appearing as a hacker peddling new identities on Craigslist, when Joe is keen to begin afresh, he reconnects with the character that captivated audiences in series two.
