Curious about the direction of the revival, Dermot probed for details, to which Jill responded: "I don't know, I think you would have to ask the guys, I think you would have to ask what their ideas were."
She reflected on the original appeal of the show, saying, "You know, when it first started, it was supposed to be something that was a bit more realer, maybe something more gritty than maybe a and people really loved it," reports .
"And maybe if they took it back to its roots it would really work. I don't know, honestly I don't know."
Dec previously mentioned that he and Ant are still hashing out the storyline. Despite their extensive experience in television, this venture is quite distinct from their usual projects.

He explained to RadioTimes: "We're still in the process, we didn't realise how long a process it is to do a drama because we're so used to live telly.
"We're still in development, story development, and the characters."
The conversation then turned to the burning question on fans' minds about whether Ant and Dec would grace the screen with their presence.
Ant made it clear they wouldn't be part of the storyline, but he cheekily suggested that there might be room for PJ and Duncan to make an appearance down the line.
"If the writers think we're fit and able, then maybe they will," he hinted.
The much-loved 90s TV show that debuted on and followed youngsters at a Newcastle youth centre is making a comeback. The upcoming series, which is yet to have a confirmed release date, is set to be titled Byker.
This Morning airs Mondays-Fridays from 10am on ITV1
