The Guest viewers have all said the same thing just minutes into the first episode of the new thriller series starring Doctor Who actress Eve Myles. Shot and based in Wales, the four-part drama centres on the poisonous bond between business owner Fran and her cleaner, Ria. Their worlds become perilously entangled through mutual secrets and a compulsive interdependence. Their connection also turns menacing and controlling, branded as a "psychological game of cat-and-mouse".
The duo's circumstances couldn't be more contrasting as cleaner Ria shares a home with her unemployed partner, struggling to survive financially. In contrast, Fran is a magnetic entrepreneur enjoying all the luxurious benefits that accompany prosperity.
The opening instalment of the BBC programme was packed with surprises and dramatic moments right from the beginning as Fran's guidance results in disaster and Ria's existence is transformed permanently, reports the Express.

Following an encounter at a neighbourhood shop where Fran observed Ria being caught stealing, the businesswoman chose to provide Ria with a lucrative position as her domestic help.
Eager for employment, Ria seizes the chance but it's apparent immediately that something feels wrong. Fran recognises that Ria isn't content in her existing romance with her long-term partner.
Matters escalate when Fran instructs Ria to register on a dating platform and begin meeting others whilst deceiving her boyfriend. Ria chose to follow Fran's suggestion and arranged a meeting with a bloke she'd encountered on the app.
Nevertheless, everything went drastically awry when Ria opted to have her second encounter at Fran's residence whilst her employer was away for the evening.
Masquerading as a resident of a multi-million pound estate initially went smoothly, but once Fran telephoned and disclosed she was returning home earlier than expected, matters took a dark turn.

Ria's companion uncovered her deception about her circumstances and events escalated, with the chap pursuing Ria throughout the property trying to harm her.
In an instant, Ria's existence was transformed permanently as she inadvertently shoved her companion from the summit of the staircase, culminating with Fran entering to discover his dead body.
It wasn't long before viewers hurried directly to social media to express their thoughts.
