PSL 2025, Players Biryani Feast Video Goes Viral: Feed them burgers, feed them pizzas.. You must remember that incident when after Pakistan's defeat in the India-Pak World Cup match, one of their fans made a lot of noise in front of the media that the Pakistani players were eating and drinking all night. That video went quite viral. Now another video is going viral in which their players are seen doing something similar even before the start of PSL 2025.

Today (11 April 2025) the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has started with a match between defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. PSL is one of the well-known T20 leagues in the world and has a huge fan following, however, this year the league will face a tough challenge in viewership as it is directly competing with the world's biggest and most expensive T20 league IPL.

IPL has played a big role in the development of local talents who have gone on to become top international players. PSL presents the same opportunity for Pakistan cricket as well, which is in dire need of new talent. The performance of the Men in Green is on a continuous decline and it is facing severe criticism. The team recently suffered a crushing defeat against New Zealand by 4-1 in T20Is and 3-0 in ODIs. Apart from this, senior players including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan will have a chance to prove their worth after being left out of the T20 series against New Zealand.

Players kept eating biryani to their heart's content before the match

If Pakistan gives priority to cricket then things will be fine, but concerns have been raised about their seriousness towards the game.On the eve of PSL, Pakistani players including Babar Azam, Mohammad Haris, who are part of the Peshawar Zalmi franchise, were seen feasting on biryani. The video of this went viral on social media, but it angered the fans. Fitness directly impacts the results, and fans were unhappy with how the board and players opted for a high-carbohydrate meal before an important tournament.

However, a section of fans also defended the players and said that eating such food occasionally is not a big deal. Meanwhile, the PCB has decided to start the PSL matches at 8 pm, an hour after the start of the IPL matches, to minimise the live telecast time clash with the IPL.
