“We are incredibly excited to kick off another season of the Mumbai Ultimate League and continue our mission of growing the sport in India,” said Rishabh Kishore, Co-Founder, Off-Season Ultimate.
“This league serves as more than just a platform for players to showcase their talents; it’s a celebration of the passion and spirit of Ultimate Frisbee. By bringing together players from across the country, we’re not only elevating the game but also creating a vibrant and supportive community. We’re proud to see the sport gaining momentum, and we hope this season inspires even more people to get involved, whether as players, fans, or supporters, and continue to build a lasting Ultimate Frisbee culture in India, Rishabh added.
Player Auctions for the season was conducted on March 14 with 102 players sold to the six teams. A total of 9 players were retained by the teams and another 9 were drafted into the squad before the auctions through the “Snake Draft” process. The team owners are also playing members of their respective squads adding another unique aspect to this league.
