Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par was released on Friday, June 20, 2025. The film's pre-release buzz was good, and it was expected that the movie would have a decent start at the box office and grow if the reviews were positive and word of mouth was good. According to Sacnilk, on its first day, the film has collected approximately Rs. 11.70 crore (all languages) which is a decent number.
Sitaare Zameen Par is expected to show a jump at the box office on Saturday and Sunday. The reviews are extremely positive, and even the audience is loving the film. We can expect that by the end of its first weekend, the film might earn around Rs. 40 crore, and if the jump over the weekend is exceptional, then the collection can be around Rs. 45 crore as well.

The makers have not yet revealed the official budget of the movie. But, some media reports claim that Sitaare Zameen Par is made on a budget of Rs. 80-90 crore. So, if this is an actual budget, the Aamir Khan starrer has to do well at the box office on the weekdays as well.
The actor has trusted the audience and has released the film in theatres without having any OTT deal. Nowadays, filmmakers have a deal with the OTT platforms, where within or after eight weeks of the theatrical release, the movie gets its digital release. This deal helps the filmmakers to earn a good amount before the movie even hits the big screens. But, clearly, Aamir has taken a huge risk.
