Dubai: Iran and the United States held a fourth round of talks Sunday over Tehran's rapidly advancing nuclear programme, with a US official describing American negotiators as being "encouraged" by the discussions.
The talks took place in Muscat, Oman, again mediated by Omani officials.
Iran similarly described the talks as wrapping up after several hours.
"Agreement was reached to move forward with the talks to continue working through technical elements," the US official said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the closed-door negotiations.
"We are encouraged by today's outcome and look forward to our next meeting, which will happen in the near future."
