The authorities did not conduct spot round admissions during the IIT JAM counselling in 2025. There were over 3000 seats available for admission to 22 IITs through the counselling procedure. Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the Indian Institute of scientific (IISc), and collaborating institutions require the exam as a national entrance exam for admission to postgraduate scientific programs, or M.Sc. degrees.
