IIM Ranchi inaugurated a three-day training program titled "Professional Etiquettes, Ethics, Effective Communication, and Emotional Intelligence" aimed at enhancing the skills of A0 to E Grade officers. This initiative reflects IIM Ranchi's commitment to fostering professional development in the corporate sector.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Program Director, Prof. Angshuman Hazarika, who set a positive tone for the sessions ahead. Participants were greeted with a traditional lighting of the lamp and a heartfelt Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
A special highlight of the opening ceremony was the welcome of Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, Executive Director and State Head of Bihar & Jharkhand for Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), who was honoured with a shawl and flower pot. His presence underscored the collaboration between IIM Ranchi and IOCL in promoting leadership development.
Dean of the Executive Education Centre, Prof. Amit Sachan, emphasized the importance of soft skills in today’s competitive environment. Mr. Kamlesh Rai, General Manager of Human Resources at IOCL, also addressed the attendees, discussing how effective communication and emotional intelligence are vital for organizational success.
IIM Ranchi's Director, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, reinforced the institute’s dedication to ethical leadership and professional excellence. Following his address, Mr. Choudhary shared insights on the role of ethics in corporate culture.
The ceremony concluded with the felicitation of IOCL dignitaries and a vote of thanks from Mr. Rakesh Roushan, Chief Manager of HR-CSR and Training Coordinator. This training program aims to equip officers with the necessary skills to excel in their roles and contribute positively to their organizations.
