Amid the ongoing military action between India and Pakistan, the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals being played in Dharamsala was stopped midway, and it was decided to cancel it shortly after. At 9:29 minutes, the floodlights on the ground were first turned off. After this, players and spectators were seen leaving the field. However, the match officials decided to cancel the match without delay.

On Thursday night at around 8.30 pm, drones were attacked by Pakistan in several border areas. The match was canceled midway due to security reasons as air strike warnings were issued in the surrounding areas, causing a 'blackout' in the city. In Dharamsala, players and umpires were taken out of the field as a precaution, and then the floodlights were also turned off. Looking at the seriousness of the situation, the match has now been canceled.

Punjab Kings won the toss in this match and decided to bat first. At the time the match was stopped, Punjab was batting and 10.1 overs had been played. Punjab had scored 122 runs after losing one wicket. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh had a partnership of 122 runs for the first wicket. Priyansh was out after scoring 70 runs in 34 balls while Prabhsimran remained unbeaten after scoring 50 runs.
