After receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, actor Mohanlal spoke to the media at Vigyan Bhavan. He thanked the Malayalam film industry and dedicated the award. Mohanlal said, "Cinema is the heartbeat of my soul. This moment is not just mine, it belongs to the entire Malayalam cinema." He also thanked the jury makers and the Government of India.

In a conversation with NNI, Mohanlal said, "When I first received this news from the Central Government, I was overwhelmed not only by this honor but also by the privilege of being chosen to carry forward the voice of our cinematic tradition. I believe it is destiny that has allowed me to accept this award on behalf of all those who have shaped our Malayalam cinema. To be honest, I never imagined this moment, not even in my wildest dreams. So, this is not just a dream come true; it is much bigger than that. This is a magical moment. It binds me in a deep bond of responsibility." I accept this award as a blessing from the stalwarts of Malayalam cinema.

Also expressed gratitude to President Murmu.
Mohanlal also expressed his gratitude to President Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He said, "As an actor and film personality, this honor further strengthens my resolve. It deepens my commitment to cinema. I pledge to continue my journey with renewed sincerity, passion, and purpose. I thank the Government of India, the Honorable President, the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the esteemed members of the jury. I am grateful for considering me worthy of this honor."
