Shirish Murmu appointed as RBI Deputy Governor

Shirish Chandra Murmu on Monday was appointed as the deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India, reported ET NOW.

Murmu's appointment will take effect from October 9 for a period of three years, as per media reports.

He is currently serving as an executive director at the central bank.
