Bangkok is emerging as a major destination for tourists, with a wave of new openings across fashion, hospitality, and art that are redefining the city’s appeal. From luxury hotels and boutique resorts to innovative concept stores and immersive art spaces, the Thai capital is offering fresh experiences for every kind of traveller. According to a report by Conde Nast Traveller, with high-profile launches such as Dior Gold House, Dusit Thani Bangkok’s revamped tower, and the new Ritz-Carlton within the One Bangkok complex, there are now more reasons than ever to explore Bangkok’s evolving skyline, vibrant culture, and world-class leisure offerings.
The city has seen high-profile launches this year, starting with Dior Gold House in the Ploenchit district. The concept store, fully gilded by Thai artisans to mirror Dior’s Parisian townhouse, features seasonal fashion collections, installations by Thai artists, and Café Dior by three-Michelin-star chef Mauro Colagreco. Artworks by Wishulada Panthanuvong and Boonserm Premthada blend fashion with environmental and cultural themes.
Dusit Thani Bangkok reopened in late 2024 after five years of reconstruction, returning as a 39-floor tower overlooking Lumpini Park. The hotel offers 257 rooms with large box windows, three restaurants, four bars, and child-friendly activities. Signature venues include Cannubi by chef Umberto Bombana and the Spire Rooftop bar with city views.
Three hours from the capital, Khao Yai Art Forest opened in February 2025. The 161-acre park integrates contemporary sculptures by Louise Bourgeois, Francesco Arena, and others into the jungle landscape. A pavilion hosts a six-seat cocktail bar open monthly, blending environmental awareness with art experiences.
In central Bangkok, Aman Nai Lert debuted in April 2025 as the brand’s second Thai property. Its design references Bangkok’s Phraya Bhakdinorasreth, the founder’s ancestor, with a triple-height lobby featuring a reflecting pool and lanterns. The 36th Aman property includes 990-square-foot suites, a three-bedroom Aman Suite, a spa, seven dining venues, and an Aman boutique open to the public.
One Bangkok, the city’s newest district, now hosts over 160,000 sq. m of retail space, five hotels, including Bangkok’s first Ritz-Carlton, luxury residences, and green boulevards. Designed by SOM and backed by Frasers Property, the district features public art installations, parks, and plazas.
The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok opened at the end of 2024 within the One Bangkok complex. Rooms feature neutral palettes, marble bathrooms, and some with balconies overlooking Lumpini Park. Dining options include Lily’s, Duet by David Toutain, and Caleō bar. The Ritz Kids Club caters to children aged 3–12, while the spa provides treatments based on mindfulness and traditional Thai techniques.
These new openings position Bangkok as a vibrant urban destination for leisure, luxury, and cultural exploration, attracting both domestic and international travellers.
