Earlier in the first innings, DC opener KL Rahul displayed a dominant performance against GT bowlers. The Bengaluru-born batter hammered a brilliant 112 off just 65 deliveries, which included 14 fours and 4 sixes. He was well-supported by Abishek Porel (30 off 19), Axar Patel (25 off 16), and Tristan Stubbs (21 off 10), and DC posted a formidable total of 199 runs. In the bowling department of GT, Arshad Khan, Prasidh Krishna, and Sai Kishore picked one wicket each and could not get on top of the DC batters.
A win for GT will confirm their spot in the playoffs and also boost the chances of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) to qualify. On the other hand, DC must win this match to keep their playoff hopes alive.
