Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], November 1 (ANI): Large numbers of people thronged to Chennai Guindy Children park on Friday to spend their Diwali festival holidays with their family and children.
Chennai Guindy Children's park is a favourite hangout of the kids in the city, serving as a Nature Education Centre to make people aware of the significance of biodiversity and engage them in conservation.
Large number of people from Chennai and from various part Tamil Nadu came to Chennai Children's park with their children's to spend their time with family.
This Children's park was recently renovated and inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin this year, consisting of a bird cage measuring 2,800 square meters to accommodate large aquatic birds, wildlife awareness centre, LED screens to educate people about animals and birds and library, aesthetic facade, fountains and selfie point in addition to children's play area and storm water drain water facilities.
Two food courts, drinking water and modern toilets besides parking facilities are present in the park, one of the favourite tourist attractions in the city which usually registers lakhs of people footfall every year after every long public holidays.
The children who have come with their families enjoyed seeing the birds, monkeys and other animals that are present safely in the cages.
Kids aged from 3 to 15 years where happily spending the long holiday weekend enjoying in play areas and by seeing the animals, mammals with their friends and family.
Arvind, a visitor told ANI, "We have come here to enjoy with our family on this Diwali holidays. Yearly once, we get this kind of holidays that's why we wanted to spend time with our family and children's so we have come here enjoying with family."
Another visitor Damodaran said that he can't describe in words being with family and children.
"Children's are enjoying so much here in the park and by seeing it we feel so happy," A visitor Aparna said. (ANI)
