Veteran Bollywood legend Dharmendra has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital since October 31, initially for what his team described as a routine medical review. At the time, they reassured fans that there was “no cause for concern,” explaining that the actor regularly undergoes medical check-ups and was absolutely fine. The statement followed a wave of worry on social media after fans spotted him at the hospital and assumed something was wrong.
However, some recent reports by the Indian Express stated that the 89-year-old star had been admitted due to breathlessness and that his condition had worsened. Speculation even emerged claiming he was on ventilator support, sparking fresh panic among admirers.

Close contacts of the Deol family have now firmly denied these rumours. They clarified that Dharmendra is not critical and nowhere near ventilator support. “The whole ventilator news is fake. Dharmendra has been hospitalised for a week but he is not on a ventilator,” a source connected to Sunny Deol said, adding that Sunny visited the actor earlier on Monday. They assured that if the situation were serious, the entire family would have gathered at the hospital.
The iconic actor, who celebrates his 90th birthday in December, continues to remain under observation and is recovering well.

On the work front, the veteran actor will soon be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film Ikkis, co-starring Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia. The film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, honoured posthumously for his extraordinary bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
He was last seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Shabana Azmi.
