To protect the children from hot winds, school timings have been changed in most of the districts of UP and Rajasthan. In April itself, the scorching heat and heat waves have troubled the people. The District Basic Education Officer of UP has issued a notice of change in school timing due to the demand of parents and teachers' unions.
There is a tremendous heatwave going on in Rajasthan as well. That is why the timing of schools in many districts has been changed. This will give relief to the children at least from one side. At the same time, they will be saved from going out in the scorching sun even in the afternoon. Schoolchildren are advised to take special care of themselves in the summer season and keep themselves hydrated. Also, cover your face hands, and feet properly while going out in the sun. Amethi DM Sanjay Chauhan has issued a notice of a change in school timing. All schools from classes 1 to 8 will be operated from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. The DM has taken this step given the scorching heat. This will help in protecting the students from heat waves and scorching heat. Agra District Basic Education Officer Jitendra Kumar Gond has ordered to change the timing of all council and other board schools from 7 am to 12 noon.

The timing of schools has also been changed in Jaipur district of Rajasthan. Given the heat, the District Collector has sent orders to the schools in this regard. Classes from pre-primary to eighth will be conducted from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. At the same time, the time of students, staff and other examinations from class 9 to 12 will remain the same as before. Action will also be taken against government and non-government schools that do not obey this order.
