Chelsea have enjoyed a fine start to the Premier League season, sitting fourth in the table before Saturday's fixtures - sixth now after Aston Villa and Brighton's victories.

But now faces one of his toughest challenges yet - on Super Sunday. It will be a huge indication of how good his side are this season.

The top four will be the aim this season, after a season out of Europe's top competition this year. But continue to impress in the league and an unlikely title challenge could be on the cards.

It may be too soon this season for that, but the start to life under has certainly impressed. Having arrived at the club after Mauricio Pochettino left in the summer - having guided the club to a sixth-placed finish that never looked on the cards during the campaign - many will have expected this to be a bit of a transition season for the Italian head coach.

That may well be the case as the season pans out, but for now, supporters are riding the early season wave of excitement.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher believes two new signings are erquired before Chelsea can be considered title challengers. Speaking on Sky Sports' Super Sunday, he said: "In terms of going for a title challenge next season they would still have to rectify the goalkeeping situation and someone up top.

"You can build a squad to get to where you are now and the top four, but you need gamechangers [to go for the title] and Liverpool did that in terms of bringing Alisson in, that made a huge difference for them."
