Dame Joan Collins jokingly dismissed The One Show's Alex Jones after she suggested she should watch a Taylor Swift concert.

The legendary actress graced the BBC's evening show on Friday, where she sat with presenters Alex Jones and Roman Kemp, dazzling everyone including guests Adeel Akhtar and Chesney Hawkes with tales of her glitzy life. When quizzed about who she'd class as an icon today, Joan was quick to sing praises for Taylor Swift.

She said: "Taylor Swift is a great example to young people! I like the way she dresses, I like her attitude towards life and I suppose she's an icon. But I've never seen her."

But Alex's proposal to see Taylor live got a swift shutdown from Joan, who quipped: "Where? Where am I gonna go? Do you think I'm gonna go to one of those arenas, sorry!" before laughing off the suggestion.

Alex tried playing along by joking that Taylor could wing her way to Joan for a private performance, a sentiment Roman quickly seconded, reports Wales Online. Social media buzzed with admiration for the star's age-defying looks following the show.

Fans were in awe of the age-defying actress, Joan Collins, as they took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate her continued radiance and vigour at 91. One viewer exclaimed online: "Ninety-one. Ninety flamin' one! Joan Collins is a legend. Still switched on and very interesting. What a life she's led. The positive side of living to a ripe old age."

Another penned their admiration saying: "Yes Joan. You're amazing. Class and elegance." A third weighed in with high praise: "Joan always looks amazing! Always beautifully dressed."

A fourth chimed in with similar sentiments: "Joan Collins is 91? She looks amazing!"

The English starlet, renowned for her storied career and her exceptional portrayal of Alexis Carrington Colby in the hit soap opera Dynasty during the '80s, has captivated fans across generations with her talent and style.

Adding to her already impressive resume, Joan was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) back in 1997 for her contributions to drama.
