The MP for Washington and Gateshead South added at an event hosted by Virgin Media O2 that Oasis can afford to have staff monitoring resale sites, which is a substantial but essential task to get tickets cancelled.
New figures show 62% of people using resale platforms do not realise they are buying second-hand tickets. The research also found that resale platforms cost music fans £145million per year.
