Marks and Spencer's footwear game is stronger than ever this winter, with their Lace Up Flatform Boots becoming the latest sensation among shoppers.

These boots are flying off the shelves at just £69 a pair, crafted from 'buttery soft' leather that boasts 'no breaking in' time, meaning they're 'comfortable enough to wear right out of the box. Available in black, dark brown, and stone, and sizes ranging from three to eight including half sizes these boots have quickly become a wardrobe staple.

Featuring Insolia Flex technology, they guarantee comfort by ensuring correct foot placement, while FreshfeetTM padding combats odour for freshness that lasts all day. Buyers will also be delighted to know that they come with a 44mm sole that looks nice and chunky without being uncomfortable.

The description on the Marks and Spencer website for the shoes say: "Tough yet timeless, these leather boots are a truly versatile addition to your wardrobe. This lace-up pair is crafted with a chunky flatform sole for an on-trend look, with a side zip for easy on-and-off."

With over 30 reviews giving them a 4.9-star rating, it's appears that M&S has hit the nail on the head with these shoes, reports Birmingham Live. Fashion savvy customers are raving about them and it's easy to see why.

One shopper shared: "Really comfortable a great quality boots. I bought them for work but I wear them all the time now! " Meanwhile, another praised: "Gorgeously soft leather, great fit and lovely quality. Perfect for walking around for hours and without the price tag that comes from other brands"

A third chimed in with high praise too: "Can dress them up or down. I got the ivory colour ones, look great with many wardrobe looks. Strong but soft leather, not too narrow and super comfortable. Highly recommended for a variety of looks."

Another satisfied buyer chimed in: "These boots are buttery soft, super cushioned and look great. They will look great with both trousers and dresses. I have wide feet and they fit perfectly and were really comfortable from day one with no breaking in needed."

Yet, not everyone was pleased, as a disgruntled shopper recounted her experience: "Looked great, and seeing the reviews, ordered a pair. However despite saying these are a size 5 (which I take in M&S footwear) and the 5 label on both, I couldn't get my right foot into the boot! (and I tried several times on different days) Seriously, so I am having a trip to M&S this morning to return."

Anyone interested in grabbing themselves a pair in black, dark brown or stone colourways can find them here. Some colours and sizes are selling out pretty quickly though.

If these aren't quite what you are looking for, River Island offers Double Buckle Chunky Biker Boots for £50, while fans of uber-chunky winter boots can grab a bargain at Dr Martens, with the Sinclair Tumbled Nubuck Platform Boots reduced to £95.
