Good Morning Britain viewers slammed Kate Garraway for being 'rude' after she repeatedly interrupted a guest.

On Friday, Kate, 57, and co-host Adil Ray, 50, discussed the topic of NHS abolition. She has long been an advocate for the NHS and won awards for the documentaries she filmed about. her late husband Derek Draper, who died earlier this year after a years-long battle with Covid.

During the programme, the presenters invited an NHS doctor onto the show to share his views, which were the same as Kate's. Fans rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about her interrupting the doctor. One user angrily wrote: "Kate !!!! Let the doctor speak. Omg what is wrong with this woman, she’s SO rude!!! # GMB "

Another person posted: "P.ease shut Kate up! @GMB #GMB," while one disgruntled user posted: "Omg Kate! Give your mouth a rest, let others speak," before adding that she has 'ego issues'. One viewer commented: "Kate takes 3 hours to ask the question, then interrupts when Alex tries to answer!!" Another added: "Why did sneering Kate Garraway not once interrupt the woman advocating the abolishment of the #NHS but interrupted the doctor defending the #NHS almost immediately?? (sic)"

Introducing the segment, Kate said to the camera: "So we're debating this morning whether the NHS should be abolished. Instinct has come out and said that we should look at other models, look at Europe and some of the other countries in Europe, that have insurance models. Social security, some of them call it.

"You see, I think that there's various systems that are being looked at, and they're always a little bit 'the devil's in the detail. One of them is the Netherlands, other systems like in France, and they have some form in the Netherlands of a payment that's mandatory. Everybody has to pay into a form of health insurance."

She continued: "I haven't studied the model closely myself, and it isn't massively clear from the report, but you know it's whether that would be government backed or how that would work? I mean are we at a crisis point where we have to look? We know the NHS is just a treasure, but we have to look at other ways."

Some fans questioned why her beliefs on the topic due to her connection with the NHS after her husband fell ill with COVID-19. "How can @kategarraway sit there and join in this conversation after how the NHS treated her husband," one disappointed user asked.
