'I'm gay but I'm happily marrying a woman - she's my soulmate'

A 'strictly homosexual' man has raised eyebrows over his relationship after he announced he is his 'soulmate' - who is female.

Jacob, 31, said it's a 'dream' to be able to marry Samantha Greenstone, and said he couldn't be happier as they start to plan their wedding and celebrate their . However, Jacob has caused a stir online as he proudly identifies as gay but connected with Samantha on a 'spiritual' level.

The pair have been in a long-lasting for six years, despite Jacob being attracted to men, and even their family don't quite understand their relationship.

The social media content creator from Los Angeles, California, explained: "It's very clear that Samantha is the person that I'm connected to spiritually. She is my soulmate, my partner, the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. And that often transcends just plain old sexuality, and we are attracted to each other - we're intimate, it is just on a different level, it's a soulmate connection."

Jacob and Samantha have been in an exclusive relationship for the past six years, but not everyone understands why they are together and getting married, including their friends and family. The couple, who are also planning on having children together, are faced with comments from trolls daily telling them they should 'just be best friends' rather than be in a relationship.

Jacob, who boasts millions of followers, failed to offer any explanation into how their affinity for each other came about apart from stating that they're 'just in love' and the pair are attracted to each other, even though Jacob proudly identifies as gay. The unique situation has forced Jacob to constantly talk about his sexual identity of being a gay man.

"I am gay. I don't label myself as bi-sexual - my preference is men, but I have been in this closed, exclusive relationship with Samantha for six years and it has been a dream. We're in love, and it's that simple."

Samantha further confirmed that she and Jacob are soulmates and shared: "Sometimes a soulmate is just a soulmate, and Jacob has been completely open and loving with me. And when he looks at me and talks to me, he makes me feel like I am the most treasured, loved human being on this Earth. We want to get married; we want to have a kid, and we have just chosen each other in this lifetime because we love each other's souls."
